To underscore its "home-away-from-home" environment, the House provides meals through our Family Meals Program. Several times per week, restaurants or volunteer groups prepare or deliver supper for the families.
The House also offers a pantry with donated non-perishable items, and a communal refrigerator stocked with milk, eggs, and other perishable items. Families are welcome to eat these foods at their convenience.
Policies
Eligibility to stay at the Ronald McDonald House:

The child/patient must be seriously ill or injured and receiving treatment in the Oklahoma City area.

The child/patient must be 21 years or younger. Families are referred by the hospital, nurse, doctor, or social worker.

We help families who live outside the Oklahoma City area. However, the distance requirement may be modified under certain conditions.
Once a referral is received and verified the family is placed on a waiting list, first come, first served. Notification occurs when a room becomes available.
Cost
Ronald McDonald House relies on donors and the community for support of daily operations. Donations are accepted from our guests if they so desire. No family is ever turned away due to the lack of finances.
Transportation
The Hospital provides the Crayola Express shuttle service every 15 or 20 minutes between the House and the hospital. Public transportation is also available near both the House.
